The engine on the 2019 Honda HR-V is a 1.8-liter inline 4-cylinder engine, which puts out 141 horsepower and 127 lb-ft of torque. For 2019, the manual transmission is replaced with a continuously variable transmission, which eschews gear shifting for a more fuel-efficient and smoother drive. Front-wheel drive is standard, with the option of going with an all-wheel-drive system to optimize traction ability.

Interior and Features

Designed as a five-seater, the 2019 Honda HR-V comes with front-seat heating ability if you choose the EX or higher. Leather seat trim is added on the upper-level EX-L and Touring, and the top-level Touring stands alone with an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. Standard safety features on the 2019 Honda HR-V include six airbags, hill start assist, an anti-lock braking system, electronic vehicle stability control, LED daytime running lights, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, and a multi-angle backup camera. For security, the crossover has an engine immobilizer.
